Follow a forest road past Rusteplassen. After a few hundred meters the forest road ends, and a small trail continues. Soon there is a steep trail downhill. Afer a while, some stairs take over. 383 steps down, and railings on one side. You can see and hear Rusteåne river in the distance. The surrounding terrain is more or less impossible to climb, and the stairs are there for a reason. Down in the canyon there is an inlet pond for E-Co water power.

• Rust, in upper Åsgardane (Rv 51 - Fagernes)

Directions by car:
• Turn right from the tourist information, drive Rv. 51 direction Fagernes, up through Åsgardane, past the 60 km/h limit. After app. 8 km you can park near Rustesvingen.
